Large Art Dome
Site 17: Colton Hall Lawn 4:00-10:00
Ethnic art projects from around the world. Create noise makers, giant hats, rattles and masks, while enjoying dancing shoes, created by classes from San Carlos School with artist Jackie Thurman.

Magic Moon Wands
Site 21: Monterey Museum of Art, Buck Gallery - 6:30-9:30
Have you ever wanted a magic wand? Create a magic moon wand to sparkle and shine and wave where ever you go. Have fun with No Strings Attached and Linda Evans downstairs in the art museum.

Mermaids on the Moon
Site 9: Conference Center - upstairs lobby - 3:00-11:00
An exhibit of mermaids who found themselves "Dancing on the Moon". Created by women of Pueblo del Mar recovery program, with artist Sue Ann Hillyer. A First Night Art Works! project

Mini Art Dome (silver dome)
Site 14: Colton Hall Lawn 4:00 - 10:00
Try your hand at paint by numbers with artist Germain Hatcher, who has designed a large moonscape mural to be completed by celebrants throughout the evening.

Moon Lanterns
Site 11a: Portola Plaza 3:00 - midnight
While shopping for your First Night souvenir you will be illuminated by oversize moon lanterns created by artist Charlise Kelly in partnership with Lyceum of Monterey / Salinas art students. A First Night Art Works! project.

Moonscape Moon Dance, Resolutions
Site 10: Conference Center, Colton Rooms - 3:00 - midnight
Make your wish for a new year while dancing on a magical moonscape! An exciting art installation created by students from all over Monterey County who participated in First Night Monterey Outreach programs, First Night Art Works! Featuring lighting artist Vranna Sue Hink, from Montana.

Stories and Murals
Site 20: Monterey Museum of Art, downstairs gallery 4:00-11:00
From the teens of Alisal High School, under the direction of Angelica Simmon and Jose Gil. Beautiful, moving stories and murals depicting the migrant farm worker experience. Also, stories and murals from the students of Community Partnership for Youth in Seaside - stories and murals about "Dancing on the Moon", this year's First Night theme. A First Night Art Works! project.
